Contest of Speed

Preface

Contest of Speed is created back in 2018. Since then we try to run a Formula 1 Racing League online. The League is meant for everyone as long as they try to be as fast and clean as possible. At the time of writing Contest of Speed is using crossplay which makes it possible to join the League using a Playstation, Xbox and PC.
This document has been created to show our drivers which rules we use and apply in Contest of Speed, as well as a guidance for our stewards how and when to apply the rules. This means that whenever an incident is sent in by one of the drivers, the driver or his opponent can face a penalty whoever is wrong. In many situations the driver faces a time penalty but some situations can become a Qualifying Ban (QB), Race Ban (RB) or in extreme situations a League Ban.

We try to follow Formula 1 as closely as possible. Our races use official rules and points systems including the bonus point for the fastest lap. We have adapted our racing regulations slightly to meet the requirements of racing on a video game rather than a real circuit.  We pride ourselves on keeping things as real as possible.

Drivers can compete in only 1 region. Since Season 12 it is not possible to compete in both regions, this includes reserving.
At the end of each season we will crown a driver and constructor champion for each Tier. The higher the finishing position of each driver in their respective Tier, the higher on the list they are placed for choosing their teammate and car for the new season.

To guarantee a safe and positive environment for everyone, we set up clear RULES AND REGULATIONS for racing as wel for using our Discord server. The Admins and our Stewards for race incidents, will ensure that these rules and regulations will be complied by every racer and/ or supporter.
